Insurance: Costs Money But We Need It

Nowadays, insurance has become more and more common thing in our lives, mostly people have health insurance, life insurance, and auto insurance. But there are still some people who feel that insurance is just a waste of money with no benefit.

Either policy holders or those who are not insured often feel that way because they feel like paying for something regularly that gives nothing back at them. They do not realize that they feel that way because they never got into a situation that requires immediate help like insurance can provide. If you wish to get something back from your insurance payment, it is the same as you are expecting something bad to happen to you, because that is how insurance works, it covers risks.

So actually it is good if you are not being paid by the insurance, because when you got paid that means something bad just happen to you. I bet you do not wish to be paid in anytime sooner for your life insurance, because in order to have your insurer to pay then you will have to die first.

And then there are some certain people who choose not being insured for some other reasons. For example, people who feel that they are still young and strong refuse to have health insurance because they feel like they won’t need it anyway. Maybe for some it is true, but for some other it could determine the different between life and death. Being young and strong is not a guarantee that you will not get sick or safe from a disease, but being insured guarantees that you will get all the help necessary in case something bad happen and you need some expensive treatments to save your life.

Also, there are some others who have insurance but avoid paying high rate, they are choosing to have minimum protection that will not cover all the cost necessary. This is what’s called underinsurance, cases like this mostly can be found in car insurance. Because in many countries having car insurance is mandatory, so many people buy car insurance just to avoid the law and choose to have minimum cover. This is a reckless behavior since in case something really bad happen, they could end up to lose their cars or any other assets they might have if it involves lawsuit from the third party.

So start thinking about it and feel the necessary of insurance protection, because though it costs you money, you still need it.
